Up Date!

Well, as usual God is in control and He can be trusted.
As of last night we have a place to live! A wonderful friend who lives alone in a large house, offered her finished basement for us for free. She has been passing a sign posted at a church that says,

"God blesses people so they can be a blessing to others."

She has been asking God who she could bless. When I called her last night she said she knew we were the ones. I went to see how much room we would have and was stunned by the beauty of her property. Even buried under 5 inches if snow I can see what a wonderful place this will be. Cooper will have a large country yard to run in and I will have beautiful nature scenes to look out upon each day.
This is not the way I imagined the blessing to be but I have learned that it is important for us to learn to be the receivers, with grace and thankfulness, as well as being the givers.

My husband still needs prayer to be encouraged and patient. I know God has a job out there for him and we will continue to trust. Thank you all for your prayer support. I will post photos as soon as we get moved in at the end of the month!

  2. Ugh....this makes my heart ache. You have been so strong for so long. I know you must want to fall on your knees and scream. It seems a door has opened for you with this living arrangement.

I am going to prayer for you ...for strength and for a job for your husband. Perhaps by the time that snow melts, you will be looking back at what was and enjoying what is.

    xoxo, Julia

  3. followed a comment you left on Blushing Rose, and what a post to come across. As I am visiting for the first time and don't know any of the story I can simply say sometimes in accepting the blessing we are ourselves offering a blessing to the giver. I hope your new living arrangements work out well for all of you.
    Peace.

  6. Hi! Came to your blog thru a comment you made on Cottage Flair. After reading your latest post, I went back and read your previous posts. We do serve an awesome God! I do understand your circumstances because I have been out of work for two years. The last job my husband had just absolutely broke us. Sales jobs will do that. It just wasn't what we were told it would be. We tried to hang in there and believe what they said was true. Job-hopping is not something we felt was right either. But, we live and learn, and learn from our mistakes. It's just that we are getting a little older and things should be settled a little more now. So, he took a driving job and is not home much, and this out-of-work teacher is still looking. I will pray for you, your family, and your circumstances. I hate you are losing your home, I'm afraid we will be walking down that road soon, too. I know from your post, you have had a blessing bestowed upon you. Sometimes it's just hard. Your attitude, though, inspires me so much! I am now a new follower, and I know I found you this morning for a reason. Have a blessed weekend! Look forward to your 'snow' post!
