The black raspberries are ripening faster than I can pick them. I had a wonderful bowl with some ice cream and a scone my daughter baked for me. What a refreshing treat on a warm night.
To make it even more special, I used one of my antique spoons.

It was late by the time I could photograph them so there wasn't much window light and the flash washed the color out so the images could have been better but I didn't want to wait till the next day. Actually I should have because my Chef is baking a cobbler as I post this so I will probably post another shot later but maybe not.
My next favorite thing is a very cute pair or MaryJanes I found yesterday.
Love the shoes! I read the book when it was an Oprah book - couldn't believe it was 1996 - 14 yrs ago oh my!!!

A nice post. I've never had raspberries at least the fresh ones. But after looking at your photos I think I might buy some this week from the produce place. The Book of Ruth, it's the third time I have seen this book in the last week. Perhaps the stars are trying to tell me something. Another one to add to the list...*sighs* Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteOh those blackberries look simply heavenly, I have a real craving now. This was a delightful post indeed, wishing you a wonderful weekend :D

ReplyDeleteI was actually just dropping in to wish you and yours the happiest Independence Day. May your day be full! May you enjoy laughter shared with family, great food shared with friends, fireworks to make you gasp, a lump in your throat at the anthem, and a full and grateful heart at all we have been given. Happy Fourth of July, my friend!
