This last Saturday our friends took us out for my husbands 50th birthday dinner. I'm just going to move on past the age reference here...So I thought it would be fun to take a (Sunday Drive) on Saturday and go to a little restraunt that has been a popular spot for the Clooney's, as in George and his family, for years. In order to get over to the Kentucky side we take a ferry. Our friends had never done this before so that was fun to share. Augusta is a very small town with a lot of character!
Augusta is a beautiful leisurely city to enjoy, very picturesque & historical. Glad you had such a lovely evening ... Happy Birthday to hubs.

What a delightful little town, now on my list of places to go.
ReplyDeletePlease tell Mr. Eccentric Lady, "Happy Birthday!"
I have corrected the post of the pictures history/story of the Brownie camera that my cousin sent me ... it was inaccurately stated that a Brownie camera took these photos & they had been locked away for years in that camera owned by some gentleman. Apparently they are pictures actually in our government archives.
ReplyDeleteNeither here nor there, I would not mislead any of you ... but the historical value & message of these photos is very important. Enjoy them .... & remember our freedoms came from these men who fought for us.
Egg on my face ... forgive me.

Miss E.L. Of course, I knew you were being funny....I can't believe you have a long second toe, too. Do you think we were separated at birth and our mothers didn't know it? My toe is feeling alot better today. This just took over my week! And I hurried to the doctor only to be told it would take days to get test results back. I will be well before that happens.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had been at The Bee Hive Tavern with you....and I wish George Clooney had walked up and asked us if he could join us. And I would ask him if I could rest my sore foot on his thigh...hahaha.
You are a loyal reader and I appreciate you so much. Julia
