My Morning Walk

 Cooper wanted to go for a walk this morning.

I'm taking a break from sewing for a couple of days

so

I decided to go then rather than wait till later.

 I took my coffee and my I phone for music. 

I kept seeing such beautiful things

so I took some photos to share with you. 

 Why do these have to be hated so much?

I consider them wild mums!

Mixed with the purple they are so pretty!

Look at the dew.  This I phone is pretty impressive.

 Teenyy tiny little flowers.  Yup in God's eyes these are flowers not weeds.

Happy Labor Day!

Keeping in Touch With My Innerchild

I took this walk last week and have been so busy I couldn't get time to work on the images and write this story. As always I only want to share beautiful, inspiring images so sometimes like this when I see so many cool things on one walk it just takes a bit longer to get everything together. I really didn't want to go for a walk but Cooper was whining so I had to go. I came to this path I have walked hundreds of times but this day I noticed these beautiful white blooms hanging from the locust trees. The fragrance was awesome and as I looked close they looked like orchids and as I looked up they made a beautiful white canopy. I went back home to get my camera then spent the next half hour photographing things that just moved me.

On one of the many blogs I visit someone was talking about fairies and as I was in the forest I came up on 2 different trees with what looks to me like fairie doors! Except one was pretty large hopefully it's not an ogre's house.

next I came upon these toadstools! Do you think maybe faries live here too? The clusters made me think of condos :).

I can see how one of my favorite children's authors Beatrix Potter came up with all of her clever stories while she spent so much time outdoors among the wildlife. I think Peter was visiting me this day too! I am so glad I have not lost touch with my child within! And I am thankful that Cooper needs walks so I get out and enjoy all that God has created for us to enjoy.

Lost in an endless tunnel

OK everyone, I need to apologize for being soooo late up dating. Have you ever felt like you are going down an endless tunnel and can't see the end? I have been so busy with work and helping friends and taking lots of photos I am dying to share but have had no time to sit and be quiet and write anything. I need quiet reflective time to put my thoughts down and that just isn't happening this week. I've also had lots of stress brought on by people around me (not bad people just circumstances) I have to confess that I was planning on getting a really nice set of images up here tonight but decided that I'd give myself a long needed pedicure. If my toenails got any longer they were going to cut through my leather Berks! So here I am now with fresh, soft feet but no good blog stuff for ya. Well here is a bit of eye candy of lovely blooms that will soon be gone but are gracing a lane I walk with Cooper. More on that hopefully in the next day or so.

Flower Fun

I had so much fun Friday making these cute paper cones to hold pretty flowers for some special people in my life. I didn't just ring the doorbell and run so I spent most of my day visiting and catching up with some special ladies!

Distraction

I Hate TV! It is such a waste of time and makes my mind go to mush. Well not the cool informative channels. But still when I want to get something done it's a real distraction. I have recently gotten addicted to watching 2 mindless crazy shows on Mondays that totally wreck my reading time but I can't help it they are funny. Maybe it is because I haven't really watched TV for at least 2 years with any regularity, that I am just starved for distraction or maybe it's because my brain is so tired of reading. I LOVE BOOKS! I love information and learning and growing so I have spent a lot of time reading over the past 10 years. Between my book club, my current interest in historical fiction and spiritual growth it doesn't leave much time for anything else. Then there is the new problem...The Internet. Now I am addicted to checking the blogs I like, my facebook friends and learning how to promote my business here on the web. I just don't have time for TV! Now in the last 3 weeks I have found a new show on Tuesdays I am interested in so I might as well go back to watching NCIS too. 2 wasted nights. I'll just have to get up early so I can get time to post my blogs. This is the reason I am using anyway for not keeping up here this month. TV. Well I'll just have to commit the rest of my evenings to books and blogs. I'll also get some art in there too or I won't have a blog!
So here is the inspirational art part!
The other morning we had a hard frost. Some of the pretty flowering trees were affected ( is it affected or effected? Never could get that one down) anyway, The sun was shining so brightly the next morning and our neighbors tree was just stunning. I was so thankful it wasn't frost bitten and brown. I thought I should stop taking that beautiful tree for granted and capture the beauty before the blooms are gone. So here are a few images of our beautiful magnolia tree. I hope you enjoy!
